About Scott
Scott is a Microsoft SQL Server MVP with a passion
for SQL Server technologies,
specializing in database development and architecture. Having worked with SQL
Server
since version 4.2, he has been developing solutions for nearly 20 years.
Scott is the author of a number of books and articles, including Professional
SQL Server 2005 XML and Professional LINQ by Wrox, and is currently
authoring a book for APress on the ADO.NET 4.0 Entity Framework.
As if he is not busy enough, scott is active in the local technology community,
running two SQL Server user groups, the local SQL Saturday event,
and will be hosting the first ever South Florida Geek Golf event in May of 2010.
Scott is a frequent speaker at user groups around South Florida, and has even
made it across the Atlantic pond to speak at the European PASS summit a couple
of times. He plans on doing that again in 2010.
When not being geeky, Scott enjoys wondering where all his free time went and
tries
to convince his wife to let him buy another dirt bike.
